Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, enjoying time with family, and great food and football!

Each year at Thanksgiving many families come to Ocean Isle Beach for a few days or a week to enjoy the island, the beaches and a good time with family members and friends.  A large number join in the annual Christmas parade on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  They decorate their golf carts, bicycles, wagons, and themselves and it is a real treat to watch them go by - some even play Christmas music.  In the evening, we enjoyed a "Flotilla" - boats dressed out in "Christmas decor, lights" traveling down the Intracoastal Waterway.  This year the temperatures were a little lower, but everyone seemed to have a great time at the beach.
